Hula `Ili`ili are small, smooth, black stones, sometimes call "Hawaiian castanets," "water-worn pebbles," or "lava castanets," are used in pairs and placed in each hand in beautiful hula form.  They are struck together to make a clicking sound.

Average size of each pebble is of
- about 1.5in - 2in (Keiki size)
- about 2in - 3in (Size S)
- about 2in - 4in (Size M)
